Domain troubleshooting
The four things that go wrong, and how to fix each.
Stuck on Pending
The records have not propagated yet, or they are not quite right. Confirm with dig (see DNS reference). If dig is correct, press Re-check DNS.
The root works but www does not
The CNAME on www is missing or points elsewhere. It must be cname.lontly.com, not the A record's IP address.
A certificate warning in the browser
Almost always means you reached the site before the certificate was issued. Wait a minute and hard-reload. If it persists, the domain is probably resolving somewhere that is not Lontly.
“That domain is already in use”
A domain can only be attached to one Lontly account. If you attached it to a different account of your own, remove it there first. Otherwise contact support and we will sort it out.
